The story takes place some time in the future.  The Earth had become so crowded that the expression “shoulder to shoulder” really meant something to everyone. The exciting thing was that a new exoplanet, suitable for human habitation, had been discovered. More exciting still was that the technology to send people to the new planet had been developed. A young man named Perseus was determined to be one of the few Pilgrim Mothers and Fathers to go there. Not only that, he was determined that his childhood friend, Andromeda, should go with him:
